Portland metro? Our courier picks up your tapes and brings them back when we’re done. The most reliable way to move irreplaceable media: from your hands to ours, no in-between. Free with every Basic and Advanced order. Outside Portland, mail-in works just as well: packaged carefully, tracked both ways, and hand-inspected the moment it arrives. We treat the return shipment as seriously as the capture itself.
Industrial digitizing factories return any tape that gives them trouble: unreadable, sorry. We don’t. Every tape gets a hand inspection and we work on the ones that need work: mold, broken shells, sticky-shed syndrome. We use professional equipment specialized for archival tape scanning. It pulls a noticeably cleaner signal than the consumer USB capture boxes, especially on old or weak tapes. Restoration is quoted free; nothing paid happens without your written approval.
Pricing is per-tape and shown before you order. No box minimums forcing you to pay for slots you won’t use. Discs are included in every package: DVD or BluRay for Basic and Advanced (your choice in the dashboard), BluRay only for AI Enhancement (DVD can’t hold FullHD). Not a $20 upsell. Shipping cost, if you mail in, is calculated at checkout so you see the full number before you commit. The total on the calculator is the total on the receipt.

Most services hand back a generic disc and that’s it. With us, your dashboard is the editor: you assemble the disc before we burn it.
Drag clips into the order that makes sense to you. Give them titles (Christmas 1994, Grandpa’s 70th) instead of Tape_03.mp4. Drop the dead air, snow and leader. Your disc menu reflects exactly what you want kept.
Group clips into chapters, split a long archive across multiple discs (one per year, one per event, your call), set the menu layout. We burn the assembly you finalize, not a default we picked.
Spot a clip worth higher quality? Mark it from the dashboard for Advanced re-scan ($0.05/min) or AI Enhancement ($0.25/min). No re-shipping, no minimums: pay only for the minutes you select.

After capture is delivered, mark the clips worth enhancing, not the whole tape. $0.25 per minute on Advanced captures. On Basic captures, AI requires an Advanced re-scan first on the same clip ($0.30/min combined).
Already have digital video that needs help? Upload existing files through the AI Enhancement flow: uploading creates the order. Same per-minute rate; no physical tapes required. Advanced deinterlacing is included automatically for interlaced sources.
1080p output ships on BluRay discs or streams through your cloud account. Source files downloadable during your active cloud subscription plus 90 days after cancellation; 30 days if you chose disc-only delivery.
